Just a few quick updates... Connor continues to grow taller and smarter everyday. I'm pretty sure that since his birthday he has grown out of most of his clothes. The ones that he hasn't outgrown, we've had to replace because he goes through the knees so quickly playing with his LEGOS.
Homeschool is going well. Right now we are learning about the Spanish explorers. This next month we will be looking into Jazz music. We continue to work on learning some Spanish vocabulary words as well as the usual reading, writing, and math. Connor is reading now at fourth grade level and beyond. Some of his favorite series are "Nate the Great", "The High-Rise Private Eyes" and "Commander Toad". He also loves reading stories about Lego characters and superheroes.
It continually amazes me the things that come out of Connor's mouth. Sometimes he seems wise beyond his years. Other times he puts two ideas together in a way that makes me laugh. And sometimes it is cute and/or weird "boy sounds" that really don't mean anything! Just today we were talking about some new freckles on his arm, and he says, "Maybe freckles are from God kissing you." We are keeping a collection of the best Connor-quotes.
