In October, we took a special trip for Connor’s birthday. We flew into Los Angeles and had a full 3 days with friends and family. First we spent time with my Cousin Rebekah and her two girls, Mady and Kaida. We went to an animal museum, fed the deer, wacked some bushes, hung out for a while, visited Pioneer Town, saw some giant dinosaur-shaped buildings, went bowling, and had a party at Chuck E Cheese. All in a day-and-a-half.
The next day we spent hanging out with Mom and Dad's friends from college, Rhonda and Eric, and their 3 children at the Los Angeles Zoo. Connor got along great with their youngest, Matthew, who is just his age. I'm pretty sure that they were really just monkeys in disguise!
After that, we took a day to work our way down the coast to San Diego to visit Legoland. On the way, Connor got to see the ocean for the first time and we spent a few minutes at the beach. Then we got busy with the purpose of our trip! LEGOLAND! We had a wonderful time; it is a must see for anyone who loves Legos as much as Connor does. The detail involved in the Lego creations is simply unbelievable. Yes, this R2-D2 figure is made entirely from Legos!
The next day, we spent more time at the beach playing in the waves, building sandcastles and watching the surfers. We were scheduled to return to Legoland, but unfortunately, the wildfires chased us back to LA before we were done enjoying Legos.
As the finale to our trip and to make up for missing some time at Legoland, we spent a day at Knott’s Berry Farm. Connor especially loved the kid-sized roller coaster and the log ride! We all had a great time! After a full day at the amusement park, we had dinner with Tony's cousin Sonjia and her family. Connor has lots of cousins!
It was a great adventure, we made memories to last a life time and got to share them with friends and family too!
