Back to School

Ready to go!

The end of August came and it was back to school time. Four days a week Mom homeschools Connor. It is a challenge to get back in the swing of things with no school bells ringing to say, "Okay! It's time to start now."

This year Connor is also involved in a homeschool program at one of the local elementary schools. He attends on Mondays for a full day. They do Art, Music, Physical Ed, and some unit studies. It is a great way for Connor to get a taste of a regular school, while still allowing us as parents to be in charge of his education.

My new classroom

It is a great help as well for those subjects that are hard to teach one on one. For example, it's quite difficult to play PE type games with just Mom and Connor. He loves school and looks forward to seeing his friends each week. One of his favorite parts is show and tell!

Golf Lessons

Each year we also sign Connor up for sports or lessons. On previous pages you've heard all about 2 years of soccer (see year one and year two) and basketball last winter. This fall he took some golf lessons. He did very well and enjoyed getting some input on his golf swing. He definitely wants to take more golf lessons next year.
