Growing Up Fast

Our baby boy is growing up fast. Even though we still call him Connor-baby sometimes, he is truly a toddler. His tastes have grown to include some more grown-up things. He plays with cars and tools now. And he is enjoying different videos/television shows. Current favorites include: Bob the Builder, Bear in the Big Blue House and 321 Penguins. Of course, he still loves his VeggieTales and Pooh Bear!

Connor continues to surprise us with the things he's learned. He's mastered all of his colors (no, not burnt sienna...you know -- the primary colors). He can catch a ball, he can tell you which is his left foot and which is his right. At 21 months he started climbing out of his crib, so we bought him a toddler bed. He loves it. He can count to at least ten (when he wants to, that is).

He's now started singing...his first song was "Rockabye Baby" followed by "Twinkle Twinkle, Little Star". And he completely blew us out of the water in November by reciting the entire alphabet song from memory...on his own. We haven't been working on it with him, but he does occasionally watch Sesame Street. He speaks in complete sentences (has for months now) and understands most of what we tell him. He can put together simple puzzles, play games by himself, and loves to walk, run and play outside.

Don't forget...Connor loves to get E-Mail!

He's a very sweet little boy. He volunteers to kiss Daddy's owies, and wants to make sure everyone gets a hug and a kiss before bed. We especially like it when he approaches us with arms open to hug us and say "I love you SOOO much". He's been pretty healthy...only one ear infection, and that was in November. He weighs about 28 pounds, and stands 34+ inches tall.

We'll have more right after Christmas...again, we promise to do better!
